NIS THERAPY

Neurological integration system, NIM

What is NIS Therapy?

The Neurological Integration System (NIS) is a new, manual treatment concept that enables the patient’s brain to recognize and correct misregulations in the body itself.

The brain, as the control center of the body, regulates and coordinates all body functions and systems. It processes all signals and transmits the corresponding impulses to the body. However, due to stressors (stress, traumatic experiences, accidents, infections, etc.), misregulation and dysfunction can occur, to which the body responds with various diseases or symptoms.

The goal of NIS Therapy is to restore optimal functionality of nerve control, make the body more adaptable to the environment and environmental stimuli, and thereby enable self-healing and control of the body once again.

How does NIS Therapy work?

The New Zealand orthopedic doctor Dr. Allan Phillips D.O. developed the NIS method, which is based on scientific knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neuroimmunology, neuroscience, stress research, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), osteopathy, acupuncture, and energy medicine.

NIS is a system for examining and treating the underlying causes of disturbances in body functions. The prerequisite for physical and mental health is the uninterrupted intake, transmission, and processing of information by our brain and nervous system. If a stimulus is not optimally perceived or processed, various symptoms can occur in the body systems. Diseases are triggered by pathogenic environmental factors (e.g., viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, toxins…), trauma (e.g., injuries, accidents, surgeries), or neurological or emotional overload. If the brain is unable to initiate repair processes due to disturbed information pathways, an illness with individual symptoms may develop.

Diagnosis and treatment with the Neurological Integration System (NIS) are carried out purely manually. Using a kinesiological muscle test, defined contact points of anatomical structures on the body and central nervous system are examined for their function or faulty communication. The integrative interaction of all structures and organs with the nervous system is assessed using a protocol system. After re-touching various contact points necessary for restoring neural pathways and reconnecting the information flow of the central or autonomic nervous system with the body system, integration (restoration of connections between brain areas) occurs through tapping over the postcentral gyrus (sensory brain area) on the head. The necessary changes are then carried out by the brain itself, activating self-healing.

What can NIS Therapy do for you?

Since the treatment of the regulatory disturbance of the autonomic nervous system encompasses all organ systems, only a representative list can be provided. Here are some examples of treatable conditions:

  • Acute and chronic pain in the musculoskeletal system
  • Acute and chronic immune system disorders
  • Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases
  • Vegetative disturbances and digestive disorders
  • Neurological disorders of all kinds
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Attention disorders, learning difficulties
  • Hormonal disorders
  • Disturbances in the jaw and dental area
  • Allergic disorders such as neurodermatitis, asthma, and many more…
